Women & Philanthropy Symposium
The Women and Philanthropy Symposium, the Alliance of Women Philanthropists’ signature event focusing on philanthropy, volunteerism, and leadership, is presented each year to thank Alliance members for their support of the University of Tennessee’s campuses and programs.
Past speakers have included:

- Barbara Dooley, talk show host, author Coach Vince Dooley’s wife
- Cynthia Cooper, speaker and author of Extraordinary Circumstances: Journey of a Corporate Whistleblower
- Renee Haugerud, founder, chief investment officer and managing principal of Galtere Ltd.
- Dr. Bill Bass, world-renowned forensic anthropologist, author, and founder of the University of Tennessee’s Anthropology Research Facility — the Body Farm
- Susan Packard, Co-Founder of HGTV and Former President of Scripps Network New Ventures
