Giving at the University of Tennessee
With less than 30 percent of UT’s budget being provided by the state, private gifts allow us to continue to improve programs for students, recruit better students with scholarships, educate and challenge them with better faculty who are recruited or retained via privately funded professorships and chairs, and enhance the future of our state.
It’s easy–and important–to give. There are many types of giving and ways to give. Take a look at the list below to see just how you can make a difference.
Development
The development office is the fundraising arm of the University of Tennessee. The University of Tennessee has designated the UT Foundation as the preferred channel for all private contributions that benefit the university’s students and faculty. Foundation staff members work with alumni and other prospective donors to secure funds for scholarships, professorships, research, outreach programs, and other University initiatives.
