Ways to Give
Establishing a pledge is a popular way to make a specific commitment to the University of Tennessee. Pledges are particularly meaningful during The Campaign for Tennessee.
To make a pledge, a donor determines his or her total pledge amount, the designation of the gift, the period of time over which the pledge will be paid, and the frequency of payments. The University of Tennessee Foundation will send pledge reminders each time a payment is due.
To make a pledge, please contact the Development Office by telephone at (865) 974-2115.
Outright gifts are one-time gifts to the University. You may pay an outright gift by either check or credit card.
To send a check, please download, complete, and print a pledge/gift form* and mail it with your check payable to the University of Tennessee Foundation to the following address:
The University of Tennessee Foundation
Office of Advancement Services
B022-A Conference Center
600 Henley Street
Knoxville, TN 37996-4103
The University of Tennessee Foundation also accepts the following credit cards for payment of gifts and pledges: VISA, MasterCard, and Discover. To make a gift using your credit card, you may donate online using our secure website or call the office at (865) 974-2115.
There can be significant tax advantages for donors choosing to transfer highly appreciated (long-term) securities to the University as a charitable gift. The value of your gift depends upon the market price of your assets when they are given. Please contact the office at (865) 974-2115 for more information on gifts of securities.
Planned gifts provide future support for the University and may be made without any immediate financial impact to the donor. For detailed information regarding endowments, testamentary gifts, and gifts that give back, please visit the planned giving website.
